Mae Big Maths yn ddull o addysgu rhif sy'n ceisio sicrhau bod plant yn hyderus gyda rhif wrth iddynt symud ymlaen trwy'r ysgol. Mae'n darparu strwythur trwyadl a blaengar ac yn galluogi plant i wreiddio medrau allweddol a ffeithiau mathemategol yn llawn trwy wersi difyr. Rydym yn ymroi 20 munud bob dydd i sgiliau sylfaenol a gwella rhuglder.

Gall pob plentyn yn #TeuluCyC sicrhau eu ffeithiau rhif trwy 'CLIC':

* Cyfrif – archwilio’r berthynas rif rhwng ffaith, ei chyfrif allan a’i deillio drostynt eu hunain

* Dysgwch Ei – dim ond ymarfer a dwyn i gof ffeithiau rhif

* Nid yw'n Dim Newydd! – cymhwyso cyd-destunau newydd i ffeithiau, megis unedau mesur

* Cyfrifo – adio, tynnu, rhannu a lluosi

CLIC yw ein sesiwn cynhesu cyflym i wersi mathemateg ac mae'n adeiladu ar hyder plant!

 Big Maths is an approach to teaching number that aims to ensure that children are confident with number as they progress through school. It provides a rigorous and progressive structure and enables children to fully embed key skills and mathematical facts through engaging lesson. We dedicate 20 minutes each day to basic skills and improving fluency.

Every child at #TeuluCyC can secure their number facts  through 'CLIC':

• Counting – exploring the number relationship of a fact, counting it out and deriving it for themselves

• Learn Its – simply practising and recalling number facts

• It’s Nothing New! – applying new contexts to facts, such as units of measure

• Calculation – addition, subtraction, division and multiplication

CLIC is our pacey warm-up to maths lessons and builds on children's confidence!
